RESOLUTION NO. 24 -84
EST ABLISHMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL
DESIGNATION FOR NOISE ABATEMENT (EDNA) AREA
(SECTION 33, TOWNSHIP 30 NORTH, RANGE 2 WEST, WM)
WHEREAS, it is recognized that inadequately controlled noise can adversely
affect the health, safety, and welfare of the people; the value of property; and
the quality of the environment; and
WHEREAS, Tax 3 in Section 33, Township 30 North, Range 2 West, WM in
Jefferson County has been approved and is intended for certain industrial uses;
and
WHEREAS, properties adjacent to Tax 3 are utilized and are intended for
residential use; and
WHEREAS, actions and or projects on the industrial property may create
higher noise levels than normally experienced within surrounding residential
properties; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 70,107, Revised Code of Washington, and Chapter 173-60,
Washington Administrative Code, establishes maximum permissible noise levels for
various environments or classes of uses; and
WHEREAS, said noise levels may be applied to various areas as needed or
necessary, as established by Resolution No.2 3-84.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Tax 3, Section 33, Township 30
North, Range 2 West, WM is designated as Class "c" EDNA and properties contiguous
with said parcel are designated Class "A" EDNA.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of March, 1984.
