RESOLUTION NO. 30-84
WHEREAS, there are presently three patrol vehicles operated
by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department that are unfit for
service, and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that the above
vehicles be replaced as soon as possible, and
WHEREAS, an order for 1984 year vehicles must be placed
during mid April due to model year changes; should an order be
placed later than mid April, 1984, 1985 vehicles would have to be
ordered with the earliest date for delivery being November,
1984, and
WHEREAS, the time limits set out in RCW 36.32.250 can not be
complied with by mid April, 1984,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that an emergency
exists and the public interests of Jefferson County would suffer
material
injury if replacement
patrol vehicles were
not
available to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department until
November,
1984, therefore, pursuant to RCW 36.32.270, the
requirements
of RCW 36.32.250 are hereby waived for
the
replacement of said vehicles only.
