RESOLUTION NO. 40-84 WHEREAS, Voting Precinct 501, Port Ludlow, has reached a total of 745 voters and needs to be divided, and WHEREAS, Voting Precinct 206, Thorndyke, has reached a total of 135 voters and is in violation of RCW 29.36.120, which Statute provides for Vote-By-Mail for precincts containing less than 100 voters, and WHEREAS, the highest density of voters in Precinct 206 is adjacent to Shine, Paradise Bay, Tala Shores, the Port Ludlow Golf Course and Ludlow Bay Road and all share the common Chimacum School District 49 and Fire District 3, and WHEREAS, the small number of voters in Precinct 206 are in the Quilcene School District and the Second Commissioner District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that those portions of Precinct 206 and the portions of Precinct 501 known as Ludlow Bay Road, the Port Ludlow Golf Course area, Tala Shores, Paradise Bay and Shine; all more fully described in the legal descriptions and maps attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference, be combined, creating a new precinct to be known as Precinct 503, Port Ludlow 3, and whose polling place at this time shall be the Paradise Community Hall, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the portion of Precinct 206 described in the attachments hereto remain a Vote-By-Mail district and continue to be known as Precinct 206. The changes described herein shall be effective immediately pursuant to RCW 29.04.040, which Statute sets forth the time limitations for the changing of precinct boundaries. };;# DATED this ~day of June, 1984.
