HomeMy WebLinkAbout045 84 RESOLUTION NO. 45-84 A RESOLUTION OFFICIALLY ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETITION TO ESTABLISH A PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT TO BE LOCATED WITHIN A CERTAIN SPECIFIED AREA ON THE TOANDOS PENINSULA, AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE THEREON WHEREAS, on the 25th of June, 1984, the Jefferson County Auditor submitted a petition, together with her certificate of sufficiency attached thereto, to the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners, for the establish- ment of a Park and Recreation District to be located within a certain area on the Toandos Peninsula; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of such petition, it is the duty of the County Commissioners to fix a day and hour when they will publicly hear the petition, as provided in RCW 36.69.040; now, therefore, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of Jefferson County Commis- sioners hereby acknowledges receipt of a petition for the formation of a Park and Recreation District, to be located within a certain specified area on the Toandos Peninsula, which is also described as Voter Precinct 203; and sets the day of August 6, 1984, at the hour of 10:30a.m., at which time a public hearing will be held in the Commissioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, for the purpose of taking both oral and written testimony from all interested persons either for or against the formation of said District.
