RESOLUTION NO. 46-84
INTENT TO VACATE
PORTION OF OLD HADLOCK ROAD NO. 527109
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners
that it is not in the public interest to continue to maintain as a part of the County Road
System:
All that portion of County Road Number 527109, Old Hadlock Road, laying in the
SE\ of Section 2, Township 29N, Rge. 1 W. W.M., described as follows:
Beginning 30 feet right of station 57+87.89, said point being
on the southerly right of way of County Road No. 633009, Ness's
Corner Road, as shown on the plans for County Road Project 503,
Intersection Improvement, on file in the office of the Jefferson
County Engineer; thence southeasterly along the arc of a curve
concave to the southwest, being tangent with said right of way
line and having a radius of 45 feet, a distance of 56.05 feet to
the northwesterly right of way of County Road No. 527109, the
Old Hadlock Road, and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING: thence con-
tinuing along the arc of said curve, 36.51 feet to a line para~-
lel and 30 feet northwesterly of the centerline of County Road
No. 932507, Chimacum Road; thence along said line S 39 42' 28"
W., a distance of 46.32 feet to the easterly projection of the
southerly line of Tax No. 86, as recorded in Volume 120, page
513, records of Jefferson County; thence N 78 021 20" W., a
distance of 31.98 feet along the easterly projection of the
southerly line of said Tax No. 86 to the northwesterly right of
way line of County Road No. 527109, Old Chimacum Road; thence
N 48 21' 43" E., a distance of 94.92 feet along the north-
westerly right of way line of said county road to the TRUE
POINT OF BEGINNING.
Said portion of County Road No. 527109 containing 0.038 acres,
more or 1 ess.
and in contemplation of the language of the statute R.C.W. 36.87.010, the same is useless,
Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer is hereby directed to examine said
road and report his opinion as to whether this County Road should be vacated and abandoned;
whether it will be advisable to preserve said road for the County Road System in the future;
whether the public will be benefited by the proposed abandonment, and all other facts,
matters and things which will be of importance to the Board; and that such report ~filed
as soon as possible. The hearing date for the proposed vacation is
at the hour of 10:00 a.m., to be held in the Commissioner's Ch
Townsend, Washington.
