RESOLUTION NO. ~-84
ORDER OF VACATION
PORTIONS OF 6TH STREET AND FLORIDA AVENUE
WITHIN THE PLAT OF JUNCTION CITY
This matter coming to be heard on this 10th day of September, 1984 upon the
report of the Jefferson County Public Works Department and Jefferson County Plan-
ning and Building Department with respect to the vacation set forth in a "Peti-
tion for Vacation of a County Road" submitted by Kenneth 1. Nelson, and it
appeared to the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners that a notice of the hear-
ing had been posted and published for the time and in the manner provided by law,
proof of such posting and publication being now on file herein, and said board
having the other evidence adduced, and being fully advised in the premises, does
now find and determine that the public will be benefited by the vacation thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following described rights-of-way
be vacated and abandoned pursuant to RCW 36.87.140. The intersecting
rights-of-way are located approximately one mile north of Maynard at the head of
Discovery Bay, lying west of U.S. Highway 101 within the plat of Junction City in
Section 13., Township 29 North, Range 2 West, WM.
A. A portion of 6th Street lying north of Lot 2 at Nelson's Short Plat and
south of Newton's Donation Claim.
B. A portion of Florida Avenue lying east of 6th Street and south of Newton's
Donation Claim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said petitioner is exempt from compensation
requirements specified under Ordinance 2-76, except for expenses incurred by Jeff-
erson County for investigation, examination, publication, and recording.
