RESOLUTION NO. 64-84
HEARING NOTICE
PROPOSED BUDGET APPROPRIATION
SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department has
insufficient funds in its 1984 Budget of Expenditures to cover
additional expenditures in the amount of $4,200.00, which was not
anticipated at the time of preparing the budget; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commis-
sioners that a need and emergency exists as could not have been
foreseen or contemplated at the time of making the budget for 1984,
and the sum of $4,200.00 is necessary to meet such need and emergency
and is for the best interest of Jefferson County that the appropriation
be made; therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared, that an
appropriation be made for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department to
allow payment of balance of contractéd amount to the Town of Forks for
Dispatch Service in the western portion of Jefferson County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on said
emergency appropriation and that said héaring be held in the County
Commissioners' Cgarnbers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the
23rd day of October, 1984, at the hour of 2:00p.m. and that notice of
said hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County,
and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard
for or against the appropriation for such alleged emergency.
