77-84
HEARING NOTICE
BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS AND EXTENSIONS
VARIOUS COUNTY DEPARTMENTS
WHEREAS, various Jefferson County Departments have requested
either budget appropriations for their 1984 budgets due to additional ex-
penditures not anticipated at the time of preparing said budgets, or budget
extensions to allow expenditures of unanticipated reimbursements received
from the State and Federal Government; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners
that a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or contem-
plated at the time of preparing the above reference~ budgets for 1984 and
the sum of $1,000.00 is needed for appropriations from the unencumbered
Current Expense fund, and the sum of $330,020.00 is needed for certain
budget extensions due to unanticipated reimbursements as follows:
Cooperative Extension $ 1,000.00 g==é~~~~=~~
Correction Center Construction $250,000.00
Health Department 7,200.00
Community Counseling 72,820.00 g44~~~&~=~£
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby de-
clared, and that extensions and appropriations be made for the above noted
Departments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the said
emergency extensions and appropriations and that said hearing be held in
the County Commissioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington,
on the 26th day of November, 1984, at the hour of 10:30a.m., and that
notice of said hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson
County, ~nd that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be
heard for or against the appropriations for such alleged emergency.
