NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of jefferson County
Commissioners has fixed Monday the 18th day of December 1989, at the hour of
2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Chambers, Jefferson County Courthouse, Port
Townsend, Washington as the time and place for the hearing on said Planning
and Building Department Fee Schedule Ordinance. Such hearing may be
adjourned from time to time by order of the Board. After such hearing the
Board will take such action with reference to the Ordinance as the Board
shall deem appropriate for the public interest.

F E E S CHEDULE
SECTION 1 PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The purpose of this Ordinance is to establish a unified fee
schedule for the Jefferson County Planning and Building Department. This
schedule shall apply to all fees required by the Planning and Building
Department.
SECTION 2 FEE SCHEDULE
SHORELINE SUBSTANTIAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT APPLICATIONS
(JEFFERSON -PORT TOWNSEND SHORELINE MANAGEMENT MASTER PROGRAM ORDINANCE)
The refund is 50 percent of the base fee for Primary, Secondary, and Conditional Use permit applications prior to the
public hearing notification. If withdrawal of the application occurs after the public hearing notification, no refund
will be given.
Material violations are those that result from the failure to apply for a shoreline substantial development permit, when
required. These include those that may be exempt form shoreline substantial development permit requirement, but found
to be inconsistent with the policies and standards of the Jefferson -Port Townsend Shoreline Management Master Program.
Administrative violations are those that result from the failure to apply for an exemption from shoreline substantial
development permit requirements.

° Applies to new construction only, otherwise Number 5 applies.
b The 15 percent applies to new residential construction only; the 65 percent applies to commercial, industrial, and multi-
family construction; both percentages are calculated from the base fee.
The fee is determined by a schedule established in the Uniform Building Code and is based on the valuation of the
structure.

Each additional unit in a multi -tenant structure is charged an additional $5.
