Re: New Road Name, MLA22‐00031, road access from G & L SHAKE RD
Dear Charles Stalhut,
Enclosed please find a copy of a petition that has been submitted to name the access road
adjoining your property (613232007). The naming of this road may affect your property
address. Copies of the petition with the road name choices and a map with the road highlighted
have also been enclosed for your review.
The E911 Road Naming Ordinance was established to outline a method of assigning address
numbers and naming roads to provide for the safety of county citizens and property. Enclosed
is a Frequently Asked Questions handout that explains the road naming and addressing process
in more detail.
The proposed names are as follows in the order of preference submitted by the petitioner:
1. Ironman Way
2. Maple Flats
3. Heritage Lane
Please review the road names proposed. Road naming is a public process and your input and
comments are encouraged. If you choose to contribute alternative names to be submitted to
JeffCom 911 and your fire district for review, please contact me by Friday, May 6th, 2022 by
email or letter. Everyone’s input is important. Additional road name ideas will be accepted for
review until the above deadline.
After the deadline, all proposed road names shall be sent to the Fire District and JeffCom 911
Communications for review to assist in determining the most appropriate name. The name will
be chosen based on meeting all road name criteria listed in the E911 Ordinance. The name that
best meets these criteria will become the new road name. Some consideration is given to the
preference of the majority of property owners along the road, but the primary factor is safety.

The road name criteria are located in JCC 12.20 911 Emergency Locator System.
