A petition to name your road adjoining 613232004 was received by this office on March 31st, 2022.
Notification was sent to Jefferson County agencies including East Jefferson Fire District #1, Forks
Fire District #1, and JeffCom911. The agencies have reviewed the road names proposed. Based off
of their review the new name of your road will be Ironman Road.
As property owners who will be addressed off the selected road name, you have 10 days to appeal
the selection of the road name as identified in the Jefferson County Code 12.20.180. Appeals must
state the determination, how the determination does not conform to the Road Name Criteria
stated in Jefferson County Code Chapter 12.20.100, and the proposed remedy. Decisions regarding
appeals shall be made in writing and shall be final.
After the 10‐day appeal period, assuming no appeals have been received, one of our inspectors will
be dispatched to your road in order to determine your new address number. This new address
number is based on the distance of your driveway or access measured from the beginning of the
newly named road, Ironman Road. Please use the enclosed marking tape to mark either side of
your driveway entrance so that our inspector knows what point to measure to. After the inspector
has determined your new address number a letter will be mailed to you identifying your new
addresses number.
New address plates can be picked up from the DCD office or will be mailed shortly after the new
addresses are assigned. If you would like to pick up your address plate, please notify me by email,
letter, or phone before the appeal period has ended. If I do not receive notification I will send your
address plate(s) to the mailing address on file. I will also notify the Jefferson County Public Works
Maintenance Shop of the new road name. A new road sign for Ironman Road will be installed at the
expense of the applicant. The applicant is responsible for contacting the Jefferson County Public
Works Shop at (360) 385‐0890 regarding the sign, sign installation, and associated fees.

Community Development notifies the Post Office, Jefferson County Departments, mapping
companies, utilities and Emergency Service Providers. All other private notification of the new
address is the property owners’ responsibility.
