RESOLUTION NO. 47-83
AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION NO. 13-83
REHABILITATION FUNDS TO CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
REPAIR OF MARINE PARK BUILDING
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners signed
Resolution No. 13-83, on the 7th day of February, 1983, authorizing the
release of a specified amount of housing REHAB funds to the City of Port
Townsend for payment of costs incurred in the restoration of the Marine Park
Building located in the City of Port Townsénd, in accordance with an inter-
local agreement entered into on the 20th day of April, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the bid accepted by the City for said restoration is over
the original estimate by the sum of $215.07, which requires the amount fixed
by Resolution No. 13-83 to be increased to the total amount of $16,111.79
from the unembumbered balance of the said REHAB fund; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that Resolution No. 13-83 is hereby amended to
include the additional funds necessary for the restoration of the Marine
Park Building; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEP, that the County Treasurer is hereby
authorized to dispurse to the City of Port Townsend the amount of $16,111.79
from Trust Fund Account No. 6210 for payment of said project.

Port Townsend City Council to restore the pilings under the Marine
Park Community Building and adjacent wharf.

REHABILITATION FUNDS TO CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
REPAIR OF MARINE PARK BUILDING
WHEREAS, Jefferson County entered into an interloca1 agreement
with the City of Port Townsend on the 20th day of April, 1982, setting
forth the guidelines for the County to accumulate and disburse to the City
those housing REHAB loan payments from properties within the City, under
a Community Services Block Grant provided by the Department of Housing and
Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, a total of $15,896.72 was accumulated in the City of
Port Townsend's account as of the 31st day of December, 1982; and
WHEREAS, on the 24th day of January, 1983, the City of Port Town-
send submitted a plan for use of said funds in accordance with the above
noted interlocal agreement, which meets HUD's Community Development Block
Grant eligibility activity guidelines (as set forth in paragraph 570.20
and 570.202, of 24 CFR Part 570, published in the Federal Register, Vol. 44,
No. 167~ on August 27, 1979); Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that upon submission of a bid for the cost of
restoration of the Marine Park Building located in the City of Port Town-
send, the County Auditor is authorized to release funds up to the amount
of $15,896.72 from Fund Account No. 6210, for the payment of said project.

It is understood that the above price does not include
Washington State Sales Tax and that the Owner will pay the
Contractor the applicable State Sales Tax.
The Bidder agrees to complete all work awarded to him within
30 calender days from the date of the written Notice to Proceed.
The Bidder further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the
sum of $200.00 per day for each consecutive calender day thereafter.
*** NOTE: We propose to repair 13 deteriorated piles by driving in place good used
Creo piles. Two piles under building will be encased with concrete by
the Sonatube method.
