RESOLUTION NO. 91-83
JEFFERSON COUNTY 1984 BUDGET
REVIEW HEARINGS AND FINAL ADOPTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.40.071, the Jefferson County Board
of Commissioners have selected the alternate date of the first week in
December for final adoption of the Jefferson County Budget for 1984; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.40.010, the Jefferson County Auditor
has notified in writing, each elective or appointive county official to file
with her on or before August 29, 1983, an estimated budget for the ensuing
year, for submission to the Board of County Commissioners by October 3, 1983;
Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that 1984 budgèt review hearings, including the
Federal Revenue Sharing Budget, shall commènce on the 18th day of October,
1983, and continue through December 2, 1983, and that during the first week
in December (December 5th - 9th) the Jefferson County Budget for 1984 shall
be adopted.

Notice of Filing 1984, Budget Estimates
You are hereby notified ,to file on or before August 29, 1983,
itemized estimàtes of probable revenue, if any, from sources other than
taxation# and all expenditures required by your office or department
for thefortþcotnirtg year.
Computer printout forms are attached .for the preparation and sub-
mission of budget estimates. Please type your estimates in the appro-
priate sp~ces anq file the original with this office, retain the duplicate
for your files and the triplicate copy may be used as a worksheet.
Please round out all amounts to the nearest dollar, i.e. appropriations
and expenditures. If you have any questions on your 1984 budget requests,
please contact Gus, Cheri or me~
I.n preliminary budget submission, please submit Salaries and Employee
benefits at 1983 status quo amounts. At this time we do not know if there
will be any raises, but if there are, they will be negotiated at a later
date. Due to the current financial status of the county, there is going
to be a need for sharp pencils in all-areas.
Please refer to RCW 36.40.030 for penalty clause regarding late sub-
mittal of preliminary budgets.
BUDGET TIME FRAME:
Preliminary submitted ~o Auditor on or before August 29, 1983.
Auditor prepares and submits Preliminary Budgets to Board of County
Commissioners on or before October 3, 1983.
Extra copies available to the public by October 11, 1983.
Commissioners start budget review hearings with individual depart-
ment heads October 18th through December 2, 1983.
Final adoption of budget - week of December 5, 1983.
