RESOLUTION NO. 102-R3
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A LOAN
FOR THE NECESSARY OPERATION OF THE
SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the present financial condition of the Solid Waste
Department Fund precludes the operation therefore without borrowing; and
WHEREAS, Engrossed House Bill No. 248, Section 1, adopted 1971,
First Ex. Session, in accordance with the provisions of RCW 36.40, permits
borrowing when used for a specific purpose, which in this instance shall be
the necessary operation of the Solid Waste Department, and the net amount
needed for the said purpose is the sum of $40,000.00; Now, Therefore,
IT IS HEREBY FOUND and DECLARED that the public welfare, conven-
~ence and the uninterrupted public service provided by the Solid Waste
Department requires this Board of County Commissioners to proceed in manner
and form as herein determined, and that the sum of $40,000.00 be borrowed
from the County Road Fund, the same to be repaid in full upon reimbursement
by Washington State Department of Ecology per current grant, Amendment 2
to Referendum 39 contract numbers 393111002 and 3931020601 for monies
expended for Bayshore Enterprises. PROVIDED, HOWEVER, that nothing shall
prevent the sooner liquidation of said loan if financially feasible.
