RESOLUTION NO. 105-83
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A CLEARING FUND FOR THE
REFUND OF SOCIAL SECURITY WITHHELD
WHEREAS, the Employment Security Department performed
an audit of the county's payroll records with regard to the
reporting of OASI funds, and
WHEREAS, on completion of the audit the Department
auditor found that the County had withheld and reported funds
covering part-time and temporary employees on the payrolls of
Current Expense, Community Social and Health, County Fair,
Solid Waste and County Road Departments whose positions are
not eligible as social security positions, and
WHEREAS, the audit directed the County to refund to the
employees in such positions any funds withheld during the
years 1980, 1981, and 1982, such funds totaling $19,881.75, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the Treasurer establish a
é1earing fund to accomplish this directive,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the County

Treasurer is hereby directed to establish a Social Security
Refund Clearing Fund to be used exclusively for the refund
of such funds described above and in the Employment Security
Department correspondence dated July 13, 1983; that the funds
currently being realized as credits due to the overpayment
be transferred into such fund for distribution to those persons
entitled.
