RESOLUTION NO. 123-83
ORDER
BUDGET APPROPRIATION
CONSTRUCTION & RENOVATION BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners did,
on the 5th day of December, 1983, declare that an emergency existed to pro-
vide the sum of $150,000.00 for the Construction and Renovation Budget to
be used for payment of costs incurred for the construction of the new
Correctional Facility, and set a hearing on said emergency for the 19th
day of December, 1983, at the hour of 10:30a.m.; and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was published as required by law;
and
WHEREAS, this being the time and place set for said hearing, and
no objection or objection interposed; now, therefore,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, by the Board of Jefferson County Commis-
sioners, that the County Auditor be, and she is hereby authorized and
empowered to enhance the Construction artd Renovation Budget by the amount
of $150,000.00 to be appropriated from the Unencumbered Fund Balance, and
to be expended from BARS account no. 575.50.65.

HEARING NOTICE
BUDGET APPROPRIATION
CONSTRUCTION & RENOVATION BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Construction & Renovation ,Budget
has insufficient funds in its 1983 Budget of Expenditures to cover costs
involved in the construction of the new Correctional Facility in the
amount of $150,000.00, which was not anticipated at the time of preparing
the budget; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners that a
need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or contemplated
at the time of preparing the budget for 1983, and the sum of $150,000.00
is necessary to meet such need and emergency and is for the best interests
of Jefferson County that the appropriation be made;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared,
that an appropriation be made for the Jefferson County Construction and
Renovation Budget in the amount of $150,000.00, to be used for payment of
costs incurred for the construction of the new Correctional Facility, and
to be appropriated from the Unencumbered Fund Balance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on said
emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County Commis-
sioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the 19th day
of December, 1983, at the hour of lO:30a.m., and that notice of said hear-
ing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that
at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or
against the appropriation for such alleged emergency.
