RESOLUTION NO. 18-82
(Authorization for Payment of Statutory Expenses
of Judicial Position)
WHEREAS, Substitute Senate Bill 4449, if passed into law,
would authorize Jefferson County one judge of the Superior Court,
and
WHEREAS, that same legislation requires that, prior to the
effective date of the said legislation, each county through its
duly constituted legislative authority provide documentation of
its approval of the additional positions and its agreement that
the county will payout of county funds, without reimbursement
from the state, the expenses of such judicial positions as
provided by statute; Now, Therefore,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of ,Jefferson County
Commissioners does hereby give its approval of the establishment
of a separate judicial position in the Superior Court for Jefferson
County, and, further, agrees that Jefferson County will pay from
county funds, without reimbursement from the state, the expense
of such judicial position as provided by statute, at such time as
the judicial position is established.
