HomeMy WebLinkAbout032 82 ...; " .~ ..J/ -.5 FOR PUBLICATION 4-14-82 and 4-21-82 RESOLUTION NO.. 32-82 INTENT TO VACATE PORTION OF DABOB ROAD WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners that it is not in the public interest to continue to maintain as a part of the County Road System: A sixty (60) foot right-oi-way of the Dabob Road, County Road No. 16, as replaced by the realignment of County Road No. 16 by C.R.P. No. 399, commencing approximately 370 feet South of the East line of the Southeast J¡¡ of the Northwest J¡¡ of Section 17, Township 28 North, Range 1 West W.M.,running thence in a Southwesterly direction and ending at the South line of the Southeast J¡¡ of the Northeast J¡¡ of Section 17, Jefferson County, Washington, and in contemplation of the language of the statute R.C.W. 36.87.010, the same is useless; Now, Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board of County Commissioners does now declare its intention to vacate and abandon said road; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Road Engineer is hereby directed to examine said road and report his opinion as to whether this County Road should be vacated and abandoned; whether it will be advisable to preserve said road for the County Road System in the future; whether the public will be benefited by the proposed abandonment, and all other facts, matters and things which will be of importance to the Board; and that such report be filed as 'soon as possible. A public hearing shall be held on Monday, the 26th day of April, 1982, at the hour of 10:30a.m., in the Commissioners' Chambers, Jefferson County Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, at which time all interested persons may appear and be heard on either to proceed.or not to proceE7d with , ì .
