RESOLUTION NO. 38-82
A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON A FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT FOR A PORTION OF
WESTERN JEFFERSON COUNTY, TO BE KNOWN AS FIRE
PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 7, DEFINING PROPOSED
BOUNDARIES THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR THE FIRST
COMMISSIONERS THEREIN
WHEREAS, a petition for the establishment of a fire protection -
district has been duly filed by 32 registered voters residing within the
proposed District, which signatures have been duly certified by the Jeffer-
son County Auditor; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 52.04, a public hearing must be had on
said petition for the purpose of considering the boundaries of said Fire
Protection District, and naming the proposed first commissioners; Now,
Therefore,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Jefferson
County, Washington, that:
On May 10, 1982, at the hour of 2:30p.m., in the Commissioners'
Chambers, Jefferson County Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, a public
hearing will be held to consider the submission to the voters of the affected
area a proposal to form a Fire Protection District in those areas of Jeffer-
son County described as:
1. Beginning _at the intersection of a line due south
from the center of Sec. 7 of TN.24N., R.12W.W.M.
and the east bank of the Clearwater River, which
shall be the true point of beginning, thence due
south to the NW corner of SW 4 of SE 4 of Sec. 18
T.24N., R.12W.W.M., thence due east to NE corner
of SW 4 of SE 4 of Sec. 18, T.24N., R.12W.W.M.,
thence due south to the east bank of the Clear-
water River, thence northerly up the east bank of
the Clearwater River to the true point of begin-
ning.
2. Those portions of E - of NW 4 of Sec.
R.12W.W.M. that are west of the Clear
3. The SW 4 of Sec. 29, TN.24N., R.12W.
4. That portion of NE 4 of SW 4 of Sec.
R.12W.W.M. north of U.S. Highway 101.

At which time and place, a date for election on the issue shall be set and
a first Board of Commissioners named for submission on the ballot.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of April, 1982.
