RESOLUTION NO. 54-82
(Appointing Acting Prosecuting Attorney)
WHEREAS, the elected Prosecuting Attorney for Jefferson County,
WILLIAM E. HOWARD, has submitted to the Board of County Commissioners his
resignation which is to be effective at 4:00p.m. on May 27, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney for Jefferson County also
serves as County Coroner and that office will also be vacant at the time
of the resignation of the said Prosecuting Attorney; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is authorized by RCW
36.16.115 to appoint an employee serving as a deputy in a County elective
office at the time the vacancy occurs as an acting official to perform all
necessary duties to continue normal. office operations; and
WHEREAS, JOHN F. RAYMOND is presently employed by Jefferson
County as Deputy Prosecuting Attorney and has also been appointed Deputy
County Coroner; Now, Therefore,
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that JOHN F. RAYMOND is appointed Acting
Prosecuting Attorney and Coroner for Jefferson County effective as of
4:00p.m. on May 27, 1982, until such time as such offices are appointed as
required by law by the Board of County Commissioners.
