RESOLUTION NO. 88-82

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A JUVENILE PROBATION COMMUNITY SERVICES PROGRAM
WHEREAS, The 1981 Legislature, through ESSB 3636, Sec. 49 (E),
appropriated to the Division of Juvenile Rehabilitation
funds for Community Consolidated Juvenile Services.
These funds were appropriated for use in establishing
Community Correction Programs and for the provision of
services for delinquent juveniles on county levels.
By this Bill the Juvenile Probation Subsidy Program
was replaced by the Community Corrections Program.
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners finds that there is
a need for a Community Corrections Program and that
such program should be administered by the Jefferson
County Juvenile Probation Department,
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Board of Jefferson
County Commissioners that:
Section 1. The Board does intend to participate and implement
a Community Corrections Program in this County and, with the approval
of William E. Howard, Judge of the Superior Court, the Board will
make application for funds available through the Division of Juvenile
Rehabilitation, Community Consolidation Services.
Section 2. The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners
will coordinate the planning, certification and the making and
submission of claims for reimbursement from said Division of
Juvenile Rehabilitation.
