JOINT RESOLUTION 2-82 JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSION AND PORT OF
PORT TO~VNSEND CO~1ISSION

WHEREAS: The Port of Port Townsend desires to assist the
County in implementing the County's comprehensive park
plan for Mats Mats Bay;
WHEREAS: The Port has met with the community residents to
determine the most appropriate launch and parking facility;
WHEREAS: The Port of Port Townsend has Durchased lot 82
of 01ympus Beach adjacent to Carey Court-Road;
~rnEREAS: ~he Port is applying for Interagency Committee
For Outdoor Recreation grant monies to develop the facility,
Now THEPæFORE: The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners
agrees that the Port of Port Townsend will serve as the lead
agency for accepting grant development funds.
The Port with in kind service with the County, will develop
the facility.
Th~ County will assume responsibility for maintenance and
operation at a time mutually agreeable to both parties. .
