RESOLUTION NO. 114-82
HEARING NOTICE
APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR REIMBURSEMENT
TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY
WHEREAS, the Environmental Protection Agency has requested
reimbursement of $6,404.00 plus applicable interest for funds advanced
on Construction Grant #C- 530821 -01 for consulting engineering fees
(ENCON) later determined ineligible; and
WHEREAS, these funds were not appropriated in the 1982
budget, and a demand for payment has been made, and it appears to the
Board of Jefferson County Commissioners that a need and an emergency
exists that was not anticipated at the time of making the budget for
1982, and the sum of $6,404.00 is necessary to meet such need and is
in the best interests of Jefferson County; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared, that
an appropriation be made for payment of said reimbursement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on
said emergency appropriation in the County Commissioners' Chambers,
Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the 11th day of October at
the hour of 10:30 a.m.; and the notice of said hearing be published in
the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that at said hearing
any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the
appropriation for such alleged emergency.
