The request for 1981 was $14,000 which we estimated to be 50%. Our estimates are always low due to the statistics from the State Treasurer's Office arriving several months after the quarter ends. We neglected to ask for an adjustment after the final payment was made for 1981. The only response to the letter was Bud O'Meara's verbal report at a sub- sequent board meeting, which was to the effect that our request had been granted. We need to clear up this matter and perhaps change how the allocation is deposited to our account. I have been billing each quarter for one-fourth of the allocation, but perhaps it would be easier to automatically split the liquor profits and taxes as they arrive, with one-half to current expense and one-half to the Alcoholism Fund. This would elimiante the need for an adjustment at the end of the year. Attached is a copy of the report I prepared for the July 15 Alcoholism Board Meeting. The board recommended at this meeting that we again request 50% of liquor profits and taxes, and that we request an additional amount from the city as well. If you need additional information, please let me know. Sincerely, ~h. ~,. Ella M.
