RESOLUTION NO. 126-82
HEARING NOTICE
BUDGET APPROPRIATION - RECREATION DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Recreation Department has insufficient
funds in its 1982 Budget of Expenditures to cover costs in the amount of
$4,100.00 which were not anticipated at the time of preparing the budget; and
WHEREAS, the amount of $3,749.50 is to be reimbursed to the Recre-
ation Department ~y the Port Townsend Kiwanis Club for the ski school program;
and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners
that a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or contem-
plated at the time of preparing the budget for 1982, and the sum of $4,100.00
is necessary to meet such need and emergency and is for the best interests of
Jefferson County that the appropriation be made;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared,
that an appropriation be made for the Jefferson County Recreation Department
in the amount of $4,100.00 to be used for Salaries & Wages, Operating Supplies
and Professional Services.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on said
emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County Commission-
ers' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the 1st day of
November, 1982, at the hour of 10:30a.m., and that notice of said hearing be
published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that at said
hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the
appropriation for such alleged emergency.

Please be advised that after a thorough examination of my current budget
it appears that the budgeted amount in BARS Account Number
of $ of the Fund is,insufficient to pay
~ecessary expenses of this department for this year. After a careful
examination of the expenditures under this fund in previous years, and a
thorough examination of the present needs of this department under the
current year, I estimate that it 'will be necessary to have an additional
,appropriation in the f~m of an emergency appropriation in theapproxi-
mate amount of $ ~/OD ~ for this current year for the following
reasons: .
