HomeMy WebLinkAbout020 81 RESOLUTION NO. 20-81 A Resolution Related to Exchange of County Property for Private Property of Equal Value Modifying Resolution No. 30-80 ~ffiEREAS, by Resolution No. 30-80 the Board of County Commissioners authorized the exchange of certain County real property with Cecil Lange, and WHEREAS, Mr. Lange was unable to convey the property described in the above-referenced Resolution, and ~mEREAS, Mr. Lange is now in a position to convey to Jefferson County that real property which is described herein- beloy}, and WHEPEAS, the County has had the two parcels of property described below appraised by the Jefferson County Assessor's office, and the Assessor's appraisal indicates that the value of the property owned by the County which is to be conveyed to Mr. Lange is no greater than the value of the property to be acquired by the County in this exchange, and WHEREAS, the County real property described as Parcel "A" is not necessary to the future foreseeable needs of the County, and the real property described as Parcel "B" is necessary for the future foreseeable needs of the County, and ~lEREAS, such exchanges of real property are authorized by RCW 36.34; Now, Therefore, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED: That Jefferson County transfer to Cecil Lange that real property described below as Parcel "A" in exchange for Mr. Lange's conveyance to Jefferson County that property described below as Parcel "B." This exchange is authorized on the condition that Cecil Lange shall provide Jefferson County with title insurance on that property to be conveyed to the said County and that he ~ VD:t.. 7 tAt£ ;)&2 will pay any other expenses related to this exchange. Parcel "A" Beginning at the South quarter corner of Section 7, To~mship 30 North, Range 1 West, W.M., said corner being a concrete monument, thence North 2° 43'59" East along the east line of South- west 1/4 of said section a distance of 1319.96 feet; thence South 89°44' 56" ~'¡est along the North line of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 a distance of 663.33 feet to the True Point of Beginning, said point being the Northwest corner of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of said Section 7; thence South 2°41'45" ¡..jest along the West line of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of said section a distance of 247.62 feet, more or less, to North right-of-way line of County Road No. 98, the Arcadia-Cape George Road; thence South 65°34'41" East along said North right- of-way line, a distance of 150.00 feet; thence North 6°26'04" West a distance of 311.72 feet, more or less, to a point that lies North 89°44'56" East a distance of 90.00 feet from the Point of Beginning as measured along North line of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of said section; thence South 89°44'56" West along said North line a distance of 90.00 feet to the Point of Beginning, Said Parcel A contains 0.716 Acres, more or less. Parcel "B" The West 30 feet of the SW 1/4 NW 1/4 SE 1/4 and the West 30 feet of the NW 1/4 SW 1/4 SE 1/4 lying north of the Cape George-Arcadia County Road No. 98; All lying in Section 7, T. 30 N, R. 1.
