HomeMy WebLinkAbout022 81 RESOLUTION NO. 22-81 INTENT TO VACATE WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appeares to this Board of County Commissioners that it is not in the public interest to continue to maintain as a part of the County Road System: That portion of Alma Street in Ironda1e commencing at the westerly boundary of Lot 38, Block 1, Chalmer's First Addition to Ironda1e, thence east to the east line of Section 3, TWP 29 N. RGE 1 W. W.M. being 50 feet in width and 245 feet, more or less, in length and in contemplation of the language of the statute R.C.W. 36.87.010, the same is useless, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Commissioners does now declare its intention to vacate and abandon said road, and be it, FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer is hereby directed to examine said road and report his opinion as to whether this County Road should be vacated and abandoned; whether it will be advisable to preserve said road for the County Road System in the future; whether the public will be benefited by the proposed abandonment, and all other facts, matters and things which will be of importance to the Board; and that such report be filed as soon as possible for the hearing date will be Apr~l 6, 1981 at the hour of 11:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Chamber, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington.
