HomeMy WebLinkAbout077 81 ~ ~éN!..c..) ~<) r...J,..,. 7/~2 -...A ?' ¿) 7/.1.//-' i RESOLUTION NO. 77-81 HEARING NOTICE PROPOSED BUDGET APPROPRIATION SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department has insufficient funds in its 1981 Budget of Expenditures to cover costs incurred for the planning of the new jail facility in the amount of $4,810.00, which was not anticipated at the time of preparing the budget; and WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners that a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or contem- plated at the time of making the budget for 1981, and the sum of $4,810.00 is necessary to meet such need and emergency and is for the best interests of Jefferson County that the appropriation be made; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared, that an appropriation be made for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department in the amount of $4,810.00 to be used for the planning of the new jail facility. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on said emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County Commis- sioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the 3rd day of August, 1981, at the hour of 10:30a.m., and that notice of said hearing be published in the off,icia1 newspaper of Jefferson County, and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the appropriation for such alleged emergency.
