RESOLUTION NO, 114-81 ORDER TO ESTABLISH ONE-WAY ROAD GARDINER BEACH ROAD WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners held a public meeting on the 22nd day of September, 1981, in the Gardiner Community Center, for the purpose of discussing the County Road Plan for the Gardiner area; and WHEREAS, it was determined that, in the interest of public safety, the Gardiner Beach Road, County Road No, 104-0.22, should be established as a one-way road by restricting all vehicle traffic to westbound traffic only; and WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has submitted a report recommending that the said road be made one-way westbound from the boat ramp to the Ronde1ay Road due to narrow width of the roadway, poor sight d'stance, best option agreed upon, and least costly to County of a1 options considered; now, therefore, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that the Gardiner Beach Road, County Road No. 104 0,22, State Road No, 38860, be established as a one-way road, westbo nd, between mi1epoint 1.26 and mi1epoint 1,53. BEl IT FURTHER ORDERED, that the Public Works Department is hereby direcfed to install signing of the above described road as required by fhe manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Ba~ley ð, .?Ô TrafflC Englneer~~ FROM: SUBJECT: Gardiner Beach Road DATE: October 8, 1981 The Department of Public Works has studied the Gardiner Beach Road and recommends that it be made one way westbound from the boat ramp to the Rondelay Road for the following reasons: 1) The existing roadways narrow width; 2) Poor sight distance due to numerous obstructions along roadway edge; 3) Best option agreed upon by local residents and Board of County Commissioners at public hearing; 4) Least costly to County of all options considered. cc: File
