RESOLUTION NO. 122-81
HEARING NOTICE
PROPOSED EXPENDITURE OF FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS
COMMUNITY COUNSELING SERVICES - DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Developmental Disabilities grant
has been decreased to such an extent that there are insufficient funds
in the 1981 Developmental Disabilities Budget of Expenditures to cover
operating costs for Bayshore Enterprises for the calendar year 1981; and
WHEREAS, this creates an emergency that could not have been
forseen or contemplated at the time of making the budget for 1981; and
WHEREAS, Title 31, Chapter 24, Section l222(a) (1) (G) of the
United States Code Annotated, Code of Federal Regulations authorizes
the use of Federal Revenue Sharing entitlement funds for ordinary and
necessary maintenance and operating expenses for social services for the
poor or aged; and
WHEREAS, it is the consensus of the Board of Jefferson County
Commissioners that it would be in the best interest of Jefferson County
to provide funds for the operation of Bayshore Enterprises; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the said
expenditure of Federal Revenue Sharing Funds for the purpose of providing
operating funds for Bayshore Enterprises in the amount of $2,000.00, and
that said hearing be held in the County Commissioners' Chamber, Courthouse,
Port Townsend, Washington on the 9th day of November, 1981 at 11:30 a.m.,
and that notice of the said hearing be published in the official news-
paper of Jefferson County, and that at said hearing, any interested
persons may appear and~be heard for or against the proposed expenditure
of Federal Revenue Sharing funds,
