HEARING NOTICE
PROPOSED BUDGET APPROPRIATION
HISTORICAL SOCIETY
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Historical Society has insuffi-
cient funds in their 1981 Budget of Expenditures to cover the longevity
pay in the amount of $270.00, which was not anticipated at the time of
preparing their budget; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commis-
sioners that a need and emergency exists that was not foreseen or
contemplated at the time of making the budget for 1981, and the sum of
$270.00 is necessary to meet such need and emergency and is for the best
interests of Jefferson County that the appropriation be made; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared,
that an appropriation be made for the Jefferson County Historical Society
in the amount of $270.00 to be used for longevity pay; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on said
emergency appropriation and that said hearing, be held in the County
Commissioners' Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the
7th day of December, 1981 at the hour of 10:30 a.m., and that notice of
said hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County,
and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be
heard for or against the appropriation for such alleged emergency.
