TO INCREASE ELECTION WORKERS RATE OF PAY
WHEREAS, the election workers for Jefferson County have been
paid the minimum Federal allowance, in the amount of $2.30 per hour,
with no increase in wage rate for the past five (5) years; and
WHEREAS, due to their devotion to the County and willingness
to work long hours at a pay rate far below the average employee, the
Jefferson County Auditor recommends a pay rate increase for the said
election workers; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners,
that the Auditor be, and she is hereby authorized to pay the election
workers a new rate of $3,0 aper hour effective January 1, 1982.
