RESOLUTION NO. 16-80
ORDER
BUDGET APPROPRIATION
Sheriff's Department
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Jefferson County, did
on the 21st day of January, 1980 declare that an emergency existed to
provide $10,936.45; and set a hearing on said emergency for Monday, Jan-
uary 28, 1980, at the hour of 11:30 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was published for one week in. the
local newspaper as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this being the time and place set for said hearing, and
no objection or objection interposed;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED by the Board of County Commissioners, that
there be and there is hereby appropriated for the Jefferson County Sheriff
Department budget the sum of $10,936.45 to be used for (1) Sales tax on
10 patrol vehicles being leased;
(2) New vehicle (1979 Blazer);
(3) Trans-
fer of radios from old vehicle to new; and be it
FURTHER ORDERED, that the County Auditor be, and she is hereby
empowered to draw warrants against the attached accounts, not exceeding the
gross amount so appropriated unless a review is applied for within five
days from date hereof.
APPROVED and ENTERED this 28th day of January, 1980.

Gentlemen:
Please be advised that after a thorough examination of my current budget
it appears that the budgeted amount in BARS Account Number 521.10.31.02
of $ 300..00 of the Current Expense Fund is insufficient to pay
necessary expenses of this department for this year. After a careful
examination of the expenditures under this fund in previous years, and a
thorough examination of the present needs of this department under the
current year, I estimate that it will be necessary to have an additional
appropriation in the form of an emergency appropriation in the approxi-
mate amount of $ 786.45 for this current year for the following
reasons:
One Vehicle was wrecked in the West End, so therefore, a complete
change and transfer of radios and all other equipment had to be
made - not only removal, but install, which a~ount and circum-
stances could not be foreseen.
Accordingly, I request permission from the Board6o~ County Commissioners
for an emergency appropriation in the sum of $ 7~ · 5 for the cur-
rent year.

Gentlemen:
Please be advised that after a thorough examination of my current budget
it appears that the budgeted amount in BARS Account Number 521.22.64.01
of $ 25,200.00 of the Current Expense Fund is insufficient to pay
necessary expenses of this department for this year. After a careful
examination of the expenditures under this fund in previous years, and a
thorough examination of the present needs of this department under the
current year, I estimate that it will be necessary to have an additional
appropriation in the form of an emergency appropriation in the approxi-
mate amount of $10,150.00 for this current year for the following
reasons:

Bayview Ford failed to include Sales Tax on the 10 units
being leased, so therefore, I failed to include this
amount in the overall price.
Sales Tax - $ 1,250.00
,.:<. Due to a 197'7 Suburban Patrol Vehicle being wrecked 1-9-80,
and no spare vehicles being available, an emergency
existed whereby another vehicle purchase was
nec essary .
1979 Blazer 8,900.00
$10,150.00
Accordingly, I request permission from the Board of County Commissioners
for an emergency appropriation in the sum of $ 10,150.00 for the cur-
rent year.
