RESOLUTION NO. 17-80
ORDER
BUDGET APPROPRIATION
Sheriff's Department
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Jefferson County, 'did
on the 21st day of Janaury, 1980 declare that an emergency existed to
provide $1,203.04; and set a hearing on said emergency for Monday, Jan-
uary 28, 1980 at the hour of 11:45 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was published for one week in the
local newspaper as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this being the time and place set for said hearing, and
no objection or objection interposed;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED by the Board of County Commissioners, that
there be and there is hereby appropriated for the Jefferson County Sheriff
Department budget the sum of $1,203.04 to be used for Salaries; and be it
FURTHER ORDERED, that the County Auditor be, and she is hereby
empowered to draw warrants against the attached accounts, not exceeding the
gross amount so appropriated unless a review is applied for within five
days from date hereof.

Gentlemen:
Please be advised that after a thorough examination of my cqrrentbudget
it appears that the budgeted amount in BARS Account Number ~23.l0.11
of $ 15,015.36 of the Current Expense Fund is insufficient to pay
necessary expenses of this department for this year. After a careful
examination of the expenditures under this fund in previous years, and a
thorough examination of the present needs of this department under the
current year, I estimate that it will be necessary to have an additional
appropriation in the form of an emergency appropriation in the approxi-
mate amount of $1,203.04 for this current year for the following
reasons:
Jail Manager's Salary adjustment for year 1980 (79 missed a pay-
raise of 52~ an hour + $121.44 adjustment for 1980).
52~ an hour equals $1,081.60
121.44 adjustment
Total $1,203.04
Accordingly, I request permission from the Board of County Commissioners
for an emergency appropriation in the sum of $ 1,203.04 for the cur-
rent year.
