HomeMy WebLinkAbout030 80 RESOLUTION NO. 30-80 A Resolution Related to Exchange of County Property for Private Property of Equal Value WHEREAS, Cecil Lange acquired certain property located in Section 7, Township 30N, Range lW, Jefferson County, which is adjacent to property owned by Jefferson County, and WHEREAS, certain structures represented by Lange's seller to be a part of his purchaser were actually located on County property, and WHEREAS, Lange built additional structures adjacent to existing structures, all of which were on property owned by Jefferson County but believed by Lange to be located on his property, and WHEREAS, the structures erected on County property are used in Mr. Lange's boat building business and have substantial value, and WHEREAS, it appears that Mr. Lange was mislead by the representations of his seller and did not knowingly or intentionally erect the additional structures on County property, and WHEREAS, in the interests of fairness and equity the County deems it appropriate to exchange the property on which Mr. Lange has located his buildings for other property to be acquired by Mr. Lange having at least an equal value, and WHEREAS, the County has had the two parcels of property appraised by the County Assessor's Office and finds that the value of the property owned by the County which is to be conveyed to Lange is not more than the value of the property to be acquired by this exchange; Now, Therefore, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED: That Jefferson County transfer the following described parcel of real property to Cecil Lange: Resolution No. 30-80 Exchange of Property Page 2 Beginning at the South quarter corner of Section 7, Township 30 North, Range 1 West, W.M., said corner being a concrete monument, thence North 2(> 43'59" East along the east line of Southwest ~ of said section a distance of 1319.96 feet; thEnce South 89044'56" West along the North line of the Southeast ~ of the Southwest ~ a distance of 663.33 feet to the True Point of Beginning, said point being the Northwest corner of the Northeast ~ of the Southeast ~of the Southwest ~ of said Section 7; thence South 2041'45" West along the West line of the Northeast ~ of the South east ~ of the Southwest ~ of said section a distance of 247.62 feet, more or less, to North right-of-way line of County Road No. 98, the Arcadia-Cape George Road; thence South 65"34'41" East along said North right-of-way line, a distance of 150.00 feet; thence North 6"26'04" West a distance of 311.72 feet, more or less, to a point that lies North 89"44'56" East a distance of 90.00 feet from the Point of Beginning as measured along North line of the Southeast ~ of the Southwest ~ of said section; thence South 89"44'56" West along said North line a distance of 90.g0feet to the Point of Beginning. Said Parcel A contains 0.716 Acres, more or less. In exchange for certain other rea.l ?roperty to be conveved to Jefferson County which is described as follows: The 1,'7est 20 feet of the N.
