RESOLUTION NO. 31-80
A RESOLUTION of the Board of Commissioners
of Jefferson County, Washington,
authorizing the submission of a final
joint application for Community Development
Block Grant funds under the Department
of Housing and Urban Development.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Jefferson
County, Washington, recognizes the need for improved land use,
increased economic and housing opportunities for low and
moderate income people, correcting health and safety deficiencies
in deconcentrated low and moderate income housing, and
WHEREAS, the citizens of the County of Jefferson
have expressed an interest in meeting these needs, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban
Development has financial aid available under the Small Cities
Program of the Community Development Block Grant Program of
1974 and 1977, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban
ievelopment has invited the below stated municipalities to
submit a final application for said funds,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Boandof
Commissioners of Jefferson County join the County of Clallam,
the Town of Forks, the City of Port Angeles, the City of
Sequim and the City of Port Townsend in the submission of a
joint final application for Small Cities Program, Community
Development Block Grant funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the allocation of
direct rehabilitation funds to each jurisdiction will be
determined on a proportionate share based on the number and
eligibility of applicants in each of the participating
jurisdicitons.
