RESOLUTION NO. 35-80
ACQUISITION OF RECREATIONAL CENTER PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners entered
into "Lease and Option to Purchase", authorized under Resolution No. 68-76,
with Port Townsend School District No. 50 Board of Directors for the
leasing to the County the following described property:
Lots 1 through 8, Block 136, Original
Townsite of the City of Port Townsend
as recorded in Volume 1, page 1 of
Plats, Jefferson County, Washington;
and
WHEREAS, hearing was held in the Superior Court in the matter
of Transferring an Interest in Real Property from School District No. 50
to Jefferson County, and Order No. 9825 was signed the 15th day of Feb-
ruary, 1980, authorizing School District No. 50 to Transfer Interest in
the said Real Property; and
WHEREAS, the said Board of Commissioners feels it in the best
interest of the County to exercise its option under the terms of the
"Lease and Option to Purchase", which purchase price was stated at $100.00;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that there be and there is hereby a.ppropriated
for the purchase of the Recreational Center Property the sum of $100.00
from the unencumbered 501 Current Expense Fund balance; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that there be and there is hereby
appropriated for the rental of the above described property for the years
1978 and 1979, as per terms of "Lease and Option to purchase" from the
unencumbered 501 Current Expense Fund balance; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Auditor be and she is
hereby authorized and empowered to draw warrants on the amount so appro-
priated for payment of the rental for 1978 and 1979, and the purch~se of
the Recreational Center Property, including all the buildings located
thereon, from Port Townsend School District No. 50.

9 This matter having come on regularly for hearing after
10 notice as establshed by this Court pursuant to previous order,
11 and the Court having reviewed the records and files herein and
12 having heard the testimony presented; Now, Therefore,
13 IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Port Townsend School District
14 No. ~O is authorized to lease with option to purchase, in the
15 manner of the document attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A,"
16 that real property described in the said attachment. Further,
17 this authorization and approvalcof the said lease with option to
18 purchase is to be considered effective as of the date of the
19 said attachment.
