HEARING NOTICE
BUDGET APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFERS
AUDITOR'S AND TREASURER'S OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Auditor's Office and the County
Treasurer's Office have insufficient funds in their 1980 budget to cover
costs incurred for the total data processing needs of their respective
Offices, which was not anticipated at the time of preparing their budgets;
and
WHEREAS, at the present time, transfers can be made from certain
catagories within the said budgets to allow for partial payment of data
processing requirements; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners
that a need and emergency exists as could not have been forseen or contem-
plated at the time of making the Current Exp~nse Budget for 1980, and a new
appropriation for the sum of $32,724.10 is necessary to meet such need and
emergency and is for the best interests of Jefferson County that the said
new appropriation be made; and that certain specified transfers within the
Auditor's and Treasurer's budgets for 1980 be made;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared,
that an appropriation be made for the Jefferson County Auditor's Office and
the County Treasurer's Office in the amount of $32,724.10 to be used for
data processing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the said
emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County Commis-
sioners' Chamber, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the 28th day of
April, 1980, at the hour of 11:30a.m., and the notice of the said hearing
be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that at said
hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the
SEAL:
appropriation for such alleged emergency.
