RESOLUTION NO. 38-80
HEARING NOTICE
BUDGET APPROPRIATION
Sheriff's Department
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department has
insufficient funds in their 1980 budget to cover costs incurred for
a Search & Rescue Supply & Storage Trailer, which was not anticipated
at the time of preparing their budget; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commis-
sioners that a need and emergency exists as could not have been for-
seen or contemplated at the time of making the Current Expense Budget
for 1980, and a new appropriation for the sum of $1,500.00 is necessary
to meet such need and emergency and is for the best interests of
Jefferson County that the said new appropriation be made for ,the
Sheriff's Department; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby
declared, that an appropriation be made for the Jefferson County
Sheriff's Department in the amount of $1,500.00 to be used for a
Search & Rescue Supply & Storage Trailer.
BE IT FURTHER RESLOVED, that a public hearing be held on
the said emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the
County Commissioners' Chamber, Courthouse, Port Townsend, washington,
on the 28th day of April, 1980 at the hour of 2:30 p.m., and notice
of the said hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson
County, and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear
and be heard for or against the appropriation for such alleged
emergency.
