HomeMy WebLinkAbout049 80 (~-" RESOLUTION NO. 19-~Q NOTICE OF HEARING RESOLUTION FOR AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE NON-UNION COUNTY EMPLOYEES LONGEVITY PAY AUTHORIZED UNDER REGULATIONS ADOPTED MARCH 1980 WHEREAS, it was determined by the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners that it was necessary to recompute the rate of longevity pay for county employees who are members of Teamsters Local #589; and WHEREAS, fairness demands that longevity be recognized and paid equally throughout for all county employees and funds should be expended for the said purpose; and WHEREAS, a need and emergency exists as could not have been forseen or contemplated at the time of making the Current Expense Budget for 1980, and a new appropriation for the sum of $3,486.60 is necessary to meet such need and em~rgency and is for the best interests of Jeffer- son County that the said new appropriation be made; therefore BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared, that an appropriation be made from the unencumbered 501 Current Expense Fund palance in the amount of $3,486.60 to be used for longevity pay for non- union county employees; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the said emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County Commissioners' Chamber, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the 12th day of May, 1980, at the hour of 10:30a.m., and the notice of the said hearing be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard .,~ i rco-,.,." for or ~:r'i .~~ appropriation for such alleged emergency. . . ~ .,-, · 11', ....... . ..-:. ~\ :0- ~~ .\~,,~:,'/1\~:~'6\~ " t",h,is 6th day of May, 1980. ::> .. \., .../1, 8 " ,.J1 ;1 : '\\-' Al~.~ I ' ~ ,,~ 1'\1 \.. ~ ...
