BUDGET APPROPRIATION - HEARING NOTICE
COUNTY CLERK
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Clerk s Office has insufficient
budget; and
funds in their 1980 budget to cover costs inc~rred to establish a new
i
clerks position for the balance of 1980 and the amount of $2,840.00 needs
I
to be appropriated which was not anticipated 4t the time of preparing the
I
I
I
I
WHEREAS, a budget transfer in the a~ount of $381.00 can be made
i
I
within the Clerk's budget to compensate the t~tal amount requested for the
I
!
new position; and
I
I
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners
that a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or contem-
plated at the time of making the budget for 1~80, and a new appropriation
I
in the sum of $2,840.00, and a budget transfer in the sum of $381.00 is
i

necessary to meet such need and emergency andlls for the best interests of
I
Jefferson County that the appropriation and tfansfer be made;
I
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an ~mergency is hereby declared,
I
that an appropriation and transfer be made fot the Jefferson County Clerk's
i
Office in the amounts so specified to be usedl to establish a new position.
I
I
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a publ~c hearing be held on the said
I
emergency appropriation and that said hearing I be held in the County Commis-
I
sioners' Chamber, Courthouse, Port Townsend, ~ashington, on the 7th day of
I
i
I
July, 1980, at the hour of lO:30A.M.; and thel notice of the said hearing be
published in. the official newspaper of Jefferron County, and that at said
hearlng any lnterested taxpayer may appear an~ be heard for or against the
I
I
i
appropriation for such alleged emergency.
