RESOLUTION NO. 59-80
(~esolution authorizing Jefferson County to enter agreement with
School District No. 50 for use of swimming pool facility)
WHEREAS, Port Townsend School District T\Jo. 50 has a swiITLrning
pool facility which is not utilized during evenings and on Saturdays,
and
WHEREAS, the County has developed a recreational program and
desires to include swimming activities in that program, and
WHEREAS, negotiations with Port Townsend School District No. 50
have resulted in agreement with regard to the County's rental of the
School District's swimming pool facility, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has concluded that
the rental agreement would be advantageous to the citizens of this
community; Now, Therefore,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners
be and it is hereby authorized to enter an agreement with
Port Townsend School District No. 50 for rental of the
School District's swimming pool facility located at the sight
of the present junior high school at Blaine and Walker Streets
in Port Townsend.
