RESOLUTION NO. 70-80
HEARING NOTICE
PROPOSED BUDGET EXTENSION
EQUIPMENT RENTAL & REVOLVING FUND
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners have
been advised by the Department of Public Works that the Equipment
Rental and Revolving Fund Budget for 1980 has insufficient funds within
Item 596.00 designated as "Pits" in the amount of $50,000.00, due to
more labor and equipment time be expended for screening for stockpiling
than had been expected at the time of preparing the budget; and within
Item 592.00 designated as "Stores", in the amount of $60,000.00; and
Item 595.00 designated as "Machine Shop" in the amount of $20,000.00,
both due to additional fuel costs; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the unencumbered Equip-
ment Rental and Revolving Fund balance #501 to cover the additional
costs incurred; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commis-
sioners that an emergency exists and the above noted amounts are
necessary to meet such emergency and is for the best interest of Jeffer-
sOn County that the appropriations be made;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby
declared, that the above noted appropriations be made for the Jefferson
County Public Works Department to be used for Items No. 596.00, 592.00,
and 595.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the
said emergency appropriations and that said hearing be held in the
County Commissioners' Chamber of Jefferson County on the 7th day of
July, at the hour of 10:00a.m., and that notice of the said hearing be
published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that at

said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or
against the proposed extensions for such alleged emergency.
