RESOLUTION NO. 72-80
INTENT TO VACATE
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of
County Commissioners that it is not in the public interest to continue to
maintain as a part of the County Road System;
1. Stevens Avenue from State Highway 20 easterly to the boundary
~ line of Lots 11 and 12, Bock 19 and Lots 1 and 2, Block 24,
Phillips Bay View Addition.
2. Phillips Avenue from State Highway 20 westerly to the boundary
line of Lots 8 and 9, Block 32 and Lots 4 and 5, Block 39,
Phillips Bay View Addition.
3. Elwood Avenue from State Highway 20 westerly to the boundary
line of Lots 3 and 4, Block 4 and Lots 3 and 4, Block 11,
Eisenbeis Bay View Addition.
4. Bayview Avenue (a) from State Highway 20 westerly to the
boundary of Lots 10 and 11, Block 18 and Lots 2 and 3, Block
25, Eisenbeis Bay View Addition; and (b) that portion east of
State Highway 20 adjacent to Block 18 and 25, Eisenbeis Bay
View Addition.
5. Charles Avenue (a) from State Highway 20 westerly to the
boundary line of Lots 10 and 11, Block 25 and Lots 2 and 3
Block 32, Eisenbeis Bay View Addition; and (b) from State
Highway 20 easterly to the boundary line of Lots 7 and 8,
Block 25 and Lots 5 and 6, Block 32, Eisenbeis Bay View
Addition.
6. Eisenbeis Avenue (a) from State Highway 20 westerly to the
boundary Line of Lots 11 and 12, Block 32 and Lots 1 and 2,
Block 39, Eisenbeis Bay View Addition; and (b) from State
Highway 20 easterly to the boundary line of Lots 7 and 8,
Block 32 and Lots 5 and 6, Block 39, Eisenbeis Bay View
Addition.
Alleys (all in Eisenbeis Bay View .Addition)
1. That portion of alley in Block 11 between State Highway 20
and the boundary line of Lots 3 and 4 and Lots 9 and 10.
2. That portion of alley in Block 18 between State Highway 20
and the boundary line of Lots 3 and 4 and Lots 9 and 10.
3. Those portions of alley in Block 25 (a) between State Highway
20 and the boundary line of Lots 2 and 3 and Lots 10 and 11;
and (b) between State Highway 20 and the boundary line of
Lots 5 and 6 and Lots 7 and 8.
4. Those portions of alley in Block 32 (a) between State Highway
20 and the boundary line of Lots 2 and 3 and Lots 10 and 11;
and (b) between State Highway 20 and the boundary line of
Lots 5 and 6 and Lots 7 and 8.
and in contemplation of the language of the statute R.C.W. 36.87.010, the
same is useless, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Comrnissioners does now
declare its intention to vacate and abandon said road, and be it,
FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer is hereby directed to
examine said road and report his opinion as to whether this County Road

should be vacated and abandoned; whether it will be advisable to preserve
said road for the County Road System in the future; whether the public will
be benefited by the proposed abandonment, and all other facts, matters and
things wihich will be of importance to the Board; and that such report be
filed as soon as possible for the hearing date will be July 21, 1980 at the
hour of 11:30 a.m. in the Commissioners' Chamber, Courthouse, Port Townsend,
Washington.
