RESOLUTION NO. 73-80
INTENT TO VACATE
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of
County Commissioners that it is not in the public interest to continue to
maintain as a part of the County Road System:
All that portion of the 60 foot dedicated right-
of-way running through Lot 16 (a distance of
approximately 270 feet) of the plat of Olsen and
Hambleton's Addition to Port Hambleton, as per
plat recorded in Volume 2 of Plats on Page 117,
records of Jefferson County.
and in contemplation of the language of the statute R.C.W. 36.87.010, the
same is useless, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Commissioners does now
dedlare its intention to vacate and abandon said road, and be it,
FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer is hereby directed to
examine said road and report his opinion as to whether this County Road
should be vacated and abandoned; whether it will be advisable to preserve
said road for the County Road System in the future ; whether the public will
be benefited by the proposed abandonment, and all other facts, matters and
things which will be of importance to the Board; and that such report be
filed as soon as possible for the hearing date will be July 21, 1980 at the
hour of 11:00 a~m. in the Commissioners' Chamber, Courthouse, Port Townsend,
washington.
