RESOLUTION NO. 76-80
HEARING NOTICE
PROPOSED EXPENDITURE OF FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS
JEFFERSON COUNTY TRANSIT
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Community Action Council has
established a public transit service in Jefferson County and the City
of Port Townsend consisting of fixed route and on call service; and
WHEREAS, radio communication equipment will be necessary to co-
ordinate the said transit activities and the proposed Public Transpor-
tation Benefit Area in Jefferson County; and
WHEREAS, Part 51, Subpart D of Title 31, Code of Federal
Regulations, Section 51.41 (1) (C), authorizes the use of Federal
Revenue Sharing entitlement funds for ordinary and necessary operating
expenses for public transportation; and
WHEREAS, it is the consensus of the Board of Jefferson County
Commissioners that it would be in the best interest of Jefferson
County to purchase the said radio coromunication equipment necessary
for the public transportation system for the amount of $1969.89 from
the unencumbered fund balance of the Federal Revenue Sharing account;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the
said expenditure of Federal Revenue Sharing funds for the purchase of
radio communication equipment for the public transportation system in
the amount of $1969.89, and that said hearing be held in the County
Commissioners' Chamber of Jefferson County on the 21st day of July,
1980, at the hour of 10:30a.m., and that notice of the said hearing
be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that
SEAL:
at said hearing any interested persons may appear and be heard for or
against the proposed expenditure of Federal Revenue Sharing funds.
