RESOLUTION NO. 78-80
HEARING NOTICE
BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR MENTAL HEALTH BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners have been
advised by the Community Counseling Service of additional monies from the
Department of Social & Health Services in the amount of $18,290.00 for
increased psychiatric services in the emergency care system; for the addition
of a half-time geriatric specialisti and due to increased involuntary commit-
ment activity as a result of the new law; and
WHEREAS, there are insufficient funds in account no. 21 Office
Supplies and a need to transfer the amount of $400.00 from account no. 39
Rent, into Office Supplies; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners
that an emergency exists and the above noted amounts need to be included in
the Mental Health Budget and is for the best interest of Jefferson County
that the foregoing amendments be made;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared,
that the above noted amendments be made for the Jefferson County Mental
Health Budget to be used as per attached budget.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the said
emergency amendments and that said hearing be held in the County Commissioners
Chamber of Jefferson County on the 21st day of July, at the hour of lO:OOa.m.,
and that notice of the said hearing be published in the official newspaper of
Jefferson County, and that at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear
and be heard for or against the proposed amendments for such alleged emer-
gency.
