Home My WebLink About083 80 ~ (~: ,:) II; C: RESOLUTION NO. 83-80 ORDER BUDGET AMENDMENT - MENTAL HEALTH BUDGET WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Jefferson County, did, on the 7th day of July, 1980, declare that an emergency existed to amend the Mental Health Budget to include monies from the Department of Social and Health Services in the amount of $18,290.00, and to transfer the amount of $400.00 from one category to another within the said budget, and set a hearing on said emergency for Monday, July 21, 1980, at the hour of 10:00a.m.; and WHEREAS, notice of the said hearing was published in the local newspaper as required by law; and WHEREAS, this being the time and place set for the said hearing, and no objection or objection interposed; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED, by the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners that the Jefferson County Mental Health Budget be amended to include funds transmitted from the State in the amount of $18,290.00; and to transfer the amount of $400.00 within the said budget as per attached. BE IT FURTHER ORDERED, ,that the County Auditor be, and she is hereby empowered to draw warrants against the attached accounts, not exceed- ing the gross amounts so stated unless a review is applied for within five days from date hereof; and to transfer the amount so requested. This will be used to pay for the services of Dr. James Mathias from May through December 1980. On June 20 a $4000 grant from the state Office of Mental Health was approved for the addition of a half-time geriatric specialist to begin July 15, 1980. On June 14 an increase of $11,490 in state funds was allocated to Jefferson County retroactive to May 1, 1980, due to increased involuntary commitment activity as a result of the new law. The above listed increases amount to a total of $18,290 in additional revenues. Also at this time we find that budget projections for office supplies will fall short of our needs in 1980, while at the same time a rental item we anticipated is not now needed - thus we would like to transfer $400 from rent (39) to office supplies (21) , The resulting changes to the bars object Mental Health Budget for 1980 is as follows: Bars, Psych.
