RESOLUTION NO. 123-80
HEARING NOTICE
PROPOSED BUDGET EXTENSION
SUPERIOR COURT BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Superior Court Budget has insufficient
funds in its 1980 budget to cover costs for the Public Defender's contract;
and
WHEREAS, the sum of Fourteen Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($14,100.00)
is the amount needed to cover the said expenses, which was not anticipated
at the time of preparing its budget; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners
that a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or contem-
plated at the time of making the budget for 1980, and the sum of $14,100.00
is necessary to meet such need and emergency and is for the best interests
of Jefferson County that the appropriation be made; therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared, that an
appropriation be made for the Jefferson County Superior Court Budget in the
amount of $14,100.00 to be used for the Public Defender's contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the said
emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County Commis-
sioners' Chamber, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington on the 6th day of
October, 1980 at the hour of 11:00 a.m., and that notice of the said hearing
be published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that at
said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against
the appropriation for such alleged emergency.
