RESOLUTION NO. 143-80
HEARING NOTICE
PROPOSED BUDGET EXTENSION
RECREATION DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners entered into
agreement with Port Townsend School District No. 50 by Resolution No. 59-80,
dated the 16th day of June, 1980, for rental of the School District's swim-
ming pool facility, and the Recreation Department Budget for 1980 has insuffi-
cient funds to cover costs incurred and the sum of $8,250.00 is the amount
needed to cover the said pool rental; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners that an

emergency exists to extend the Recreation Department Budget in the sum of
$8,250.00 for the rental of School District No. 50 swimming pool facility,
and is for the best interests of Jefferson County that the said budget be
extended; therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared, that the
Recreation Department Budget for 1980 be extended by the sum of $8,250.00
for the rental of Port Townsend School District No. 50 swimming pool
facility;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on the said
emergency and that said hearing be held in the County Commissioners'Chambers
of Jefferson County on the 17th day of November, 1980, at the hour of 10:30a.m.
and that notice of said hearing be published in the official newspaper of
Jefferson County and that at said hearing, any interested taxpayer may appear
and be heard for or against the proposed appropriation for such alleged
emergency.
